Bloom: A Guide for Visual Creatives | Stephens 2021 Capstone Project

Hannah’s Review

My senior capstone completed for my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Fashion Communication at Stephens College. Inspired by my own struggle to find my creative identity, Bloom came to life as interactive journal for visual creatives.

Bloom Summary

Determined to help others, Kueck sought advice from established creatives like illustrators, clothing designers and photographers. As you work your way through the pages of these journals, we hope you find a little piece of yourself you didn’t know about before. Whether you get more confidence to show off your work or even get inspired to start something new, we can’t wait to see you bloom into the creative you’re destined to be.

Ghosty Gifs

I love ghosts. And drawing ghosts. So when I was tasked with creating gifs, I knew I had to make some ghosts.

Little People, Big Dreams: Lynn Nottage (proposal)

As a final project for my women’s studies course, I chose to create a children’s book about my favorite playwright, Lynn Nottage.

I’ve always loved the Little People, Big Dreams book, so I wrote and designed this book to be included in the series. This project was a challenge. I researched everything I needed to know about Lynn Nottage, and then I got to illustrating. I will be the first to admit that I am not a strong illustrator when it comes to creating faces, but I surprised myself. And while it’s not perfect, I’m proud of the product I created.
