As a final project for my women’s studies course, I chose to create a children’s book about my favorite playwright, Lynn Nottage.

I’ve always loved the Little People, Big Dreams book, so I wrote and designed this book to be included in the series. This project was a challenge. I researched everything I needed to know about Lynn Nottage, and then I got to illustrating. I will be the first to admit that I am not a strong illustrator when it comes to creating faces, but I surprised myself. And while it’s not perfect, I’m proud of the product I created.
